PROCESS DESCRIPTION
Activated Earth is manufactured from Bentonite. Bentonite
is stirred with required amount of water in a tank. Then the
slurry is pumped with the digester where HCl is added. The
reaction of Bentonite with Hydrochloric Acid is carried under
controlled conditions. The acidity of digesters slurry is
also controlled. Steam is used for reaction and agitation
of material in agitation tank. The slurry is washed and filtered.
The filtered cake is dried and calcined at an appropriate
temperature. The fine powder of required satisfaction is packed.
The product has high absorption rate due to increased surface
area
