EDIBLE OIL EXPELLER
PROCESS DESCRIPTION
The Edible Oil seeds have husks. The husks are removed in
a seed decortication. Husks are thrown away by built in air
blower. Kernels are screened to Separate Split vernals from
whole Kernels. The mixture of kernels & husks is taken
for crushing into expeller. Sometimes the expeller is heated
to cook the seed. It gives better yield. A little Steam is
also added to the oil coming out. A little Steam/water is
also added to the oil seeds to increase moisture content to
optimum level. Expeller crushes oil seeds producing oil and
oil cake both of which have good economic value.
