PROCESS DESCRIPTION
Single Superphosphate is manufactured by reaction of dried,
ground rock phosphate with Sulphuric Acid. Rock Phosphate
is ground to fine powder in grinding mill in various stages
and passed through various screens before mixing with Sulphuric
Acid. Rock Phosphate is mixed with Sulphuric Acid in a den
where reaction is carried on. Diluent is added depending upon
P2O5 content in the reacted mass. The
effluent gases from the plant are scrubbed and the liquid
effluent obtained is treated to bring the effluent parameters
with pollution control norms.
